Hi Fab Friends!

Last night I also attended an Itailan shoe collection and legendary legwear designer, Emilio Cavallini’s new Luxury Edition line.

First up: Italian footwear!. I absolutely love unique shoe designs so it was great to see these gorgeous styles by Vitulli and Mugnai!

Next, I ventured onto Emilio’s latest collection for Fall 2011. Since leggings and tights are a super-staple for Fall, I was very interested in what Emilio was doing this season. And I was definitely impressed! Gold Hardware, Girly Florals and Bright Metallics greeted me with a warm welcome : )

I also ran into an old friend model Maryam Basir. We met years ago when I used to model for Hype Hair mag. It was so awesome seeing her again, isn’t she gorg?

Hi Fab Friends!

Last night at Openhouse Gallery, ESSENCE and BMW joined forces for the Art of Giving event celebrating the philanthropic endeavors of Holly Robinson Peete and Gelila Assefa Puck, Ethiopian born fashion designer and wife of famed chef Wolfgang Puck. The event featured a silent art auction, with artwork by Solange Knowles and Janelle Monae, benefiting The Holly Rod Foundation and Gelila’s Dream for Future Africa Foundation. The event was attended by Tanya Lee, wife of Spike Lee, Estelle, Tika Sumpter (!), the beautful DJ Kiss and many more fab black celebs!

I also had the pleasure of running into my ESSENCE family: The President of ESSENCE, Michelle Ebanks, PR Director Dana Baxter, ESSENCE Editor-at-Large Mikki Taylor (who hosted the event), Managing editor for essence.com Emil Wilbekin, Promotional Director Fred Jackson and fab essence.com style blogger Billy Hendrix (I LOVE her name!!). My fab friend Sureme Laster Bey of Alvin Ailey joined me soon after. All in all, it was an amazing event! Check out the pics!

Hi Fab Friends!

Topshop has quickly become one of my fav places for shoe shopping! They ALWAYS have my size (size 10) and I love their unique designs! So far I have 7 pairs from them and I hope my collection continues to grow! And how can I forget to mention their FAB shoes sales????!

Today’s pair is what I like to call the Floral Retro Super Platform or “Super Plat” -for short! These bad boys caught my eye immediately as I scanned the shoe racks. They are from “London Office”, which is a brand located inside of the TopShop shoe department. I love these shoes because they have an authentic retro feel and the platforms give super height, yet sturdy comfort! Check ’em ooout!
