Brooklyn Museum’s First Saturdays Outfit!

Last Saturday, I attended Target’s First Saturdays at Brooklyn Museum. This is an event that happens every first Saturday of the month at where thousands of fashionable young people come out to enjoy entertainment, art and fashion. It’s pretty much a NYC tradition. I recently did a fab guest post on FashionBomb Daily on What To Wear to this event. SO much fun!

That evening, I wore an H&M top (I am in love with the structured fabric and peter pan collar : ), H&M snake print pencil skirt, Kate Spade black pumps, a vintage bag and a fabulous necklace by Canadian jewelry line- C’est Joli! This was a gift from designer Alison Dawson and custom made for me in this yellow hue. I first met Alison in 2010 and totally fell in love with her aesthetic. This necklace makes the outfit and it’s one of my favorite pieces.

My hair is in a French roll : )

More pics on my iPhone:

Ran into my fashion friend, stylist Carl Ayers:

Can’t wait till next month. My bf and I may go for a double date with our fav couple!

Check out more pieces from C’est Jolie Here!

Summertime Blue!

I wore this outfit last week on Memorial Day on my way to Atlantic City for Beyonce’s epic Revel Concert. (See all my pics from the concert here!) I love the monochromatic blue mixed with a pop of red from the gladiator sandals. Paired with vintage blue frame aviator sunglasses, a simple gold chain and a black leather bag- this look is pure Summertime relaxed chic!

I am wearing last years H&M shorts, tee, old sandals from a random NYC shoe store, a vintage bag and best of all my oversized wooden “Africa” earrings, a gift from an amazing online jewelry company: Peace Images. I am in love with these earrings, such a great statement piece. I will post up close pics later, but be sure to check out her fab pieces HERE!

I am so loving my Afro! Perfect for summertime and it’s so versatile. Natural hair rocks! Truly a work of art! My grandmother gave me this old African pick. I used it to pick out my hair that day : )

Beyonce’s Revel Costumes- Play by Play

What was more spectacular than Beyonce’s Revel show performance? Her 6 utterly fabulous costumes! Each one more dramatic and glamourous than the next. The theme of her show was “Modern Showgirl”, with loads of sex appeal and an abundant amount of Swarozski crystals, 500,000 to be exact! The looks showed off her envious post-baby body and reminded us why she is The Queen! Not that anyone forgot : )

Beyonce’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure was kind enough to send over these exclusive images and designer details for each look.

RALPH & RUSSO fringed two piece

This was her first look and my FAV of them all. The Swarovski fringe was mind blowing and unreal!

THE BLONDES Showgirl leotard

This costume is a true work of art. I love everything about it, most of all- the fun nipple  detail. Genius!

I had the pleasure of sitting next to The Blondes design duo- David & Phillipe Blonde. They had an amazing time at the show and snapped lots of pics of Bey. Their platinum blonde hair glistened even in the dark. Love them!

Sexy tattoo inspired print

TINA KNOWLES FOR HOUSE OF DEREON jacket & shorts

I always love when Miss Tina designs Bey’s costumes. She’s brilliant and so sweet : )

And another by Miss Tina! A Bumble Bey/Axtec inspired look. One of my favs!

DAVID KOMA leotard

Perfect! Love the cutouts and sparkle.

And who else is loving Bey’s neon pink and orange manicure. Will have to try!

All shoes by Stuart Weitzman.

Wow, there honestly couldn’t have been a better set of costumes for Bey’s spectacular show. Kuddos to her stylist, the amazing Ty Hunter, who I am happy to call my friend.

Special thanks to Yvette Noel-Schure for the fab images!

Check out my concert pics of Bey here.
