San Francisco Trip: Travel Outfit And What I Packed

Hi guys!

So, great news: I have a new job working with FabSugar and Fashionologie.comwhere I will be writing for their awesome fashion sites! It is such an amazing opportunity and I am so excited to be apart of their team. To start off the job, I went to San Francisco to the FabSugar headquarters for training and work meetings. I’ll be here for a total of two weeks. I had never been to California so I was syked! Here are some photos as I packed for the trip (gotta have your options!) and some pics from my cutesy Monaco Hotel room.

I am a huge fan of accessories. Here are the must haves that made it in my suitcase!

The Jewels:

You can see my fab Peace Images statement earrings in the middle and on the bottom right: my treasured leopard brooches!

The Belts:

These are my favorite belts! I especially love the maroon cross and the brown chain!

Fab Footwear:

A plethora of animal print, noen and snakeskin, with basic black thrown in for good measure!

All packed up, now off to the airport!

Turbans put a nice twist on an traveling look. Unintended pun : )

I’m wearing:

Zara top, H&M cardi & leggings and my fav Jeremy Scott for Longchamp travel bag– a gift from his Fall 2012 show last year : )

Boyfriend

Miss him!

Off to SF!

I arrived in San Fran and met up with my new coworker Maria. (She’ll be working for BellaSugar-our beauty site.) Maria and I joke about how easy it was to find me since I had on a black and white turban! Ha!

Our driver met us shortly after. We hopped into the SUV and left for Hotel Monaco.

My Hotel Room:

I instantly fell in love with my cute hotel room! It has a old school Eloise feel that I adore. It’s colorful and has a healthy mix of prints, just like me lol.

Fab day!

Looking forward to sharing more pics of my SF outfits and adventures!. Stay tuned!

xoxo

Summer Turbans at Matthew Williamson

While on a midnight stroll in the Meat Packing district of NYC with my boyfriend last Saturday, I stumbled upon the fabulous window at Matthew Williamson. I love a good turban and these were tied in such innovative ways that totally evoke luxurious summer vacays in the South of France. I snapped some pics of these utterly fab ladies and had to share with you. The secret to a fabulous turban comes from having fun and being creative. Many, many times I have come up with the most amazing turbans while playing around or simply tying quickly while running out the door! There’s no wrong way!

Many of you have asked me to do a turban tutorial and I am thrilled at the idea of it! I am looking into partnering with a magazine to debut it. I can’t wait to share it with you and I hope to inspire you to create some great summer turbans!

And now…Matthew, take it away!

Turbans are so elegant and chic. I think they look fab paired with the maxi dresses seen here and with a jumpsuit. Add beautiful flat sandals and bold shades and you’re set!

But of course you can do it casually like I did yesterday:

I tied this turban using an H&M scarf

At the Times Square MAC store! Such a nice ambiance.

Dressed down day: I’m wearing a vintage Guess army jacket, scarf courtesy of BCBGeneration, old legggings, H&M scarf tied into turban & shades, Urban Outfitters booties.

I hate traditional rain boots. The are so hard to accessorize and take over the whole outfit. I wear these booties instead! Edgy and keeps my feet dry : )

See you there!
