For their 40th Anniversary November issue, W payed tribute to the ultimate Original herself, Anna Piaggi. These images were captured this past July, one month before her death. I am a big fan of her quirky, courageous style. She was a true innovator. Scroll down for more of her images as well as other Originals in the industry.

Schutz x Blogger Give Back Event with Sea of Shoes, Song of Style and Cheyenne Meets Chanel

Yesterday, I attended Brazilian brand Schutz Shoes’ Blogger event. The company enlisted 3 top bloggers Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes, Aimee Song of Song of Style and Shea Marie of Cheyenne Meets Chanel to design shoes for their capsule collection, with 10% of the proceeds going to charity! It was an amazing event and the shoes are phenomenal! Check out some of the pics below that I took on my iPhone.

Insta-Recap: 4 More Years, Halle vs Joy and Look TV Cameos!

It’s been a whirlwind week! Last night was a triumphant one when Pres. Obama was elected for another 4 years! My heart is filled with joy as I was one of the many who went out and voted for him! This was my third time voting in a presidential election. This year and ’08 were groundbreaking indeed and I am blessed to be here to witness it! This morning I stumbled upon images of Halle Berry in Interview Magazine (thanks Essence Gant for sharing!) wearing the same Mercura shades as yours truly. So cool! Mercura is an amazing couture eyewear brand that I’ve been working with and wearing for over 2 years. The designers Rachel and Merilee are geniuses! I posted some additional pics of Day 1 #nyfw and came across Look TV footage of Marie Claire’s Kyle Anderson, June Ambrose and I! These pics and more in this week’s Insta-Recap!

Pres. Barack Obama, a true inspiration! Elated that he has 4 more years in office!

I love shoes that are unique and have loads of personality! That’s why I’m obsessed with Schutz, a Brazilian shoe brand taking over NYC. Their new store is on 655 Madison Ave! I must go and check it out.. and of course take tons of pics!

There was post-Sandy craziness where it felt like part of NYC and NJ shut down. Some people are still left without electricity and some have lost their homes altogether. My hearts goes out to them all! Stay strong!
