I Love Mini Minimarket!

Hello Divas!

Yesterday I was walking through Williamsburg, Brooklyn and found the cutest boutique, Mini Minimarket!! (How much are you loving the adorable name?!) Owned by Erika Vala and Dana Schwister, Mini Minimarket opened its doors in 1999.  The store was built on the concept of “girlie bodega”, a “little store packed with everything girls or women desire.”  I was totally attracted to the store’s vintage and cozy feel. I could have shopped there all day. Erika and Dana work with “all kinds of designers from local one-of-kind crafters to big apparel companies”.

I had the best time looking at all the awesome accessories, clothes and shoes, so I decided to model the different looks for you!  And get this, all the dresses I’m wearing are on sale!!

Fab Spring 2010 Trend: Full And Flirty!

Hello Divas!
The 80’s are one of my favorite fashion eras so you know I’m totally loving the full volume skirts and dresses that are making a full comeback in Spring 2010! Yes, divas, this will be one of the hottest trends for spring, especially with the young and fabulous set. I love the flirty, layered crinoline skirts. Very reminiscent of 80’s Madonna. Very girly and romantic. Very my style : )

My favorite look is the blue Betsey Johnson ensemble. (She’s also one of my favorite designers!) I love the pairing of a fitted jacket with a full skirt. This look actually has 2 skirts worn layered. Love that. Very chic and fun! Remember, ladies, balance is key!

The 4-1-1:

First Look- Betsey Johnson cotton and spandex blazer, blue nylon skirt and white cotton skirt
Joanna Laura Constantine ring, earrings and cuff

Second Look- Necessary Objects by Ady Gluck dress in polyester, rayon and spandex
River Island belt, Joanna Laura Constantine necklace (worn as bracelet)
Noir Jewelry necklaces

V Magazine Showcases Sexy Curves!

Living in our society can be difficult when the media is pressuring us to believe that “thin is in”. This is why I am so excited about V Magazine’s upcoming “The Size Issue”, featuring 5 plus size models. The issue will hit newsstands Thursday, January 14. Photographer Solve Sundsbo told V, “I loved the opportunity to show that you can be beautiful and sexy outside the narrow interpretations that normally define us.”

My sentiments exactly!

What a wonderful way to start off the new year by embracing your curves! Personally I would like my hips to be wider since I find that so womanly and sexy! Hooray for curves! Ladies, embrace your amazing bodies! Stop tearing yourself down in 2010.

Styling by Nicola Formichetti.

Divas, what do you think of the new issue?

Love and Lollipops,
