Hello Divas!
When rainy weather hits, cheer up the dreary surroundings by throwing on a fashionably fabulous outfit! Trust me ladies, this does wonders for your mood. On a particularly rainy day in NYC last week, I wore this ensemble and felt so chic! No dark clouds and rain is gonna bring this fab chica down!
The key to pulling a fashionable and functional look on rainy days is all about making sure those rainy day essentials: the trench, the boots and of course your umbrella, are as fashionable as possible. That’s how you take it to the next level. Instead of a ho-hum jacket, I have on a full length vintage trench coat. In place of ordinary plastic rain boots, I am wearing faux patent leather ’60s inspired boots with clear Lucite wedge heels. And for my umbrella, I have a clear bubble vintage-inspired design. I don’t believe in breaking the bank to look Fabulous, so everything I have on is very affordable : )!
I am also wearing menswear inspired pieces which is a HOT, HOT, HOT trend this winter. And of course layering is always chic! (My next post will be on the “Art of Layering”!)
