Hi Fab Friends!

The Beauty of fashion is no doubt experiementing  with different styles. This is the zest of life, honey! For my friend Erica Jones’ birthday party (held at her uber cool scrapbooking store in Hoboken, NJ: The Crop Shop) I decided to go with a classic-cool look: white shirt, black pants and black pumps. Of course the fashionista inside had to remix each piece to fit my vibrant and fun personality. I wore a sheer white H&M shirt (with a black bra underneath to prevent a peekaboo no-no), cropped black H&M pants with a hint of grey colorblock in the inseam and patent leather pumps with a silver heel from TopShop (on sale for $30, original price: $100). Finished off with a black ribbon worn as a sash and red lipstick for a fab pop of color! Proof that classic never has to be boring. Remix your outfit to cater to your personality!

Hi Fab Friends!

Now that Fall has arrived you have full permission to pull out your most fab leather pieces! My pick of the day is this chocolate leather pleated skirt from none other than Forever 21! I love when I find hidden treasures there! Paired with a long sleeved J Crew blouse and Jones New York boots for a sophisticated look with equal parts sass and class : ) And yes, I am back to my big curly hair! Fab.

Hi Fab Friends!

It was so great to have super talent Common visit ESSENCE yesterday, having been a fan for years. He came bearing gifts: tasty lunch and several songs from his upcoming album “The Dreamer, The Believer”. I especially loved “Blue Sky”, “Raw” and “Dreamer”. Amazing music! Excited for it to come out in December! He also spoke about his other upcoming project: a western series titled “Hell on Wheels”, where he plays a freed slave named Elam.

It was great meeting his fabulous assistant Cristen Mills. Such a cool chick with fun style! We had a great time chatting all things fashion.

So much fun!
