Why I Love Vintage

The photo on the left is of my mother and my older brother in 1981. The photo on the right is me from last year wearing the same dress : )

I am so grateful that my mom saved so many of her clothes! It is such a special feeling to wear something that my mom wore before I was even born. I also have the gold necklace my brother is holding.

This is one of my all time favorite pictures!

Portraits of a Young Fashionista

While at my mother’s house this past Easter, I came across some fabulous old photos of myself while growing up in Houston, TX. I’ve always had a natural affinity towards fashion for as long as I can remember. I thought it would be fun to compile my favorite childhood looks as a young fashionista! You will also see my 4 other siblings in these pics. I have 3 brothers and 1 sister…and I’m the 2nd oldest : )

Early on…

I’ve always loved yellow

This was by far my favorite outfit as a child, as I certainly wore the heck out of it. (Note: these pictures were taken in different years!). I wish I could still fit this shirt, I love it so much. Victoria Beckham, eat your heart out!

Orange Moments

Birthday Fun in Red

Fun story: My older brother & I are both born in July (me-July 16th and he’s July 24th). He’s 2 years older than me. We celebrated our bday together for years when we were little.  Here’s the funny part- since my birthday came around before his, I always thought I was older. This confused me for years lol.

Blue for You

Me and my brothers!

With my little brother & sister at the doctors office. I must have been getting a shot that day, since I look bewildered lol.

Polka Dots!

(Not So) Simply Stripes

These Pink Stockings are Sheer Genius. Pop of Color!!

Hope you liked!

As you can see, I’m not too much different now. Still addicted to having my own personal style : )
