My Fav Cousin & Co Spring 2012 Bags

One of my favorite new handbag designers is Cousin & Co. I fell in love with them last year when I met the co-designer, Undra Duncan at Fashion’s Night Out 2010. She gifted me a bag soon after, which quickly became my staple that year.  Her bags are unique, stylish & fun and I cannot get enough on the gorgeous lining in each one! So refreshing! Here are some bags from her new Spring 2012 line and also some pics of me in my fav Mercura Monkey shades!

So many prints, so little time

This is my fav from the collection. Her name is “The Lady Like”

Gorgeous white leather to wear all year round, $179

Beautiful lining!

Some of my other favs from this collection:

Pretty & Pink

Summer Statement Bag

This bag is just so adorable. It reminds me of a tasty doughnut.

You can Pre-Order some of the bags here on their site. I love supporting small companies that are doing amazing things. Cousin & Co rocks!

Joy’s Trend Watch: Neon Flats

The other day I was in NJ visiting my mom and siblings (I have 3 brothers and 1 sister!). I wore this fun casual outfit, where these highlighter yellow Urban Outfitters pointed toe flats most definitely stole the show. Neon is one of my favorite trends this season. They have made appearances in the past, but I feel that right now we are seeing neon done in a sophisticated, chic way. Ballet flats, button down shirts, crisp blazers and more–Neon has made its mark on Spring 2012. The best way to rock this shade is to make it the center of the outfit. Keep everything else neutral and clean. So so chic.

Here are more pics of my casual neon day! And later in this post, shop the look!

Vintage top. Forever 21 jeans. Thrifted belt. Urban Outfitters flats & sunglasses.

I love yellow & grey color combinations! These grey Ray-Ban shades are a must have! I need them asap. I am a big fan of purple lipstick and it goes perfectly with this look.

Shop this look!

What will you pair with your yellow flats?

Fashion Inspiration: My Mom’s Vintage Pics

My gorgeous mom : )

My mother was my first style icon. In honor of Mother’s Day, here is a compilation of my fav vintage images of her from the late 70s & early 80s. What’s really cool is that my mom came to America from Nigeria during this time and you can totally see how her style changed a bit. She’s such a beauty and a wonderful person. I am lucky to have her as my mommy : )

Enjoy

Mom’s preggers with me here! Growing up, I always thought this was picture was taken in our NYC apt. I thought, wow, we’re such a glamorous bunch. Only recently did my mom tell me that this was actually just a really posh photo studio! LOL #fail.

Hope you loved! My mom is such a babe, right? She’s also the best mom ever.
