My gorgeous mom : )

My mother was my first style icon. In honor of Mother’s Day, here is a compilation of my fav vintage images of her from the late 70s & early 80s. What’s really cool is that my mom came to America from Nigeria during this time and you can totally see how her style changed a bit. She’s such a beauty and a wonderful person. I am lucky to have her as my mommy : )

Mom’s preggers with me here! Growing up, I always thought this was picture was taken in our NYC apt. I thought, wow, we’re such a glamorous bunch. Only recently did my mom tell me that this was actually just a really posh photo studio! LOL #fail.
