Happy Fashion Week!!! It’s Day 4 and the #nyfw fun keeps on keepin’ on! I just woke up and saw that one of my fab followers Nigel Isaiah, fashion editor and overall amazing guy, tweeted this nugget of info to me: a chic video that BIll Cunningham shot called “Simple Does It” including the look I wore to the Michael Kors luncheon on Wednesday afternoon! Epic! The theme: classic zipper back dresses!
I am wearing an ASOS dress, Steve Madden heels, Lauren Ralph Lauren tote, Mercura Monkey shades, a silk turban from my upcoming collection and layers of gold necklaces. This look is def a fave, so sophisticated! Check out the video below, I’m at the :46 second mark!
Great news: I am thrilled to be working with Ouidad Hair (aka the curly hair experts) for New York Fashion Week as their Curl Ambassador! In this role, I’ll be creating fun content, Instagramming cool, curly gals and tweeting live from the shows! I can’t believe fashion week is just around the corner (two days away – September 5, to be exact!). I’ve been attending shows for over 5 years for my work as a stylist, fashion blogger and writer and each season it’s all about having the right essentials on hand for the fun-filled, fast-paced week. MJ’s first beauty line hit Sephora shelves just in time for fashion week. I love this “Boom Boom” shade. I’m obsessed with pink lips and how can you not fall in love with the name?!
A couple of sprays of this high-powered oil is enough to fully revive my thirsty curls. And the smell? Divine.
This beautifully packaged polish adds a juicy hue that stands out in street style shots.
I love the scent plus it’s super moisturizing.

When you’re running from show to show in heels, cute flat sandals give your feet a much needed break.

Trying new blush shades is one of my favorite things to do! This deep wine hue will look great with a nude lip.
Black eyeliner is one of my all-time beauty staples. I come alive with a cat eye.
