Life is a Tight Rope.

This week AfriPop! Magazine will be featuring each of my looks for five days on their new “AfriPop! Today, I’m Wearing” series, where they will be  showcasing the fierce styles of African fashionistas worldwide! I am so thrilled and honored to be chosen to start off this fabulous feature! You can check out Day 1 HERE on AfriPop! Be sure to tune in each day this week for new looks! There will be a vast array of outfits as my style is both eclectic & unpredictable. It was so much fun shooting this feature in Brooklyn with my friend and photographer Phillis Kwentoh. She is the best : ). I will be putting up lots of images here each day from each of my 5 looks on AfriPop! Stay tuned! Special thanks to Paula Rogo of AfriPop! Mag : )

I call this story: “Life is a Tight Rope”

I was inspired by the amazing documentary: Man on Wire, a magnificent story of Frenchman Philipe Petit and how he illegally tight roped between in World Trade Center towers in 1974. It is a beautiful story of determination, vision & the immense power of a dream.

You can watch it on Netflix. When I first saw it, I watched it 3 times, it was so inspiring.

Life is a Tight Rope.

Vintage short. H&M shorts. Forever 21 men’s hat. H&M scarf & sunglasses. BDG shoes from Urban Outfitters. Vintage DVF bag. Sergio & James brooch, a special gift from the designers : ).

Peek into my fitting room @ Anthropologie

Remember how I tweeted that Anthropologie asked me to walk in their annual fashion show? I am so excited! They are fans of my blog and thought I would make a great addition to the show. I love Anthropologie! Their clothes allow you to put your own personal stamp on your look. The fabrics are luxurious and most of all they have fun with color and details! They will be debuting the new lines of Leifsdottir & Leifsnotes at the show. Love it, big fan of both : )

I modeled back in college, so it is going to be a ball rockin the runway. Last weekend was my first fitting. I met up with their customer care specialist, Michael Johnston and personal shopper, Liza Sheehy. Michael had some fabulous items for me to try on. Some of  these pieces that I have on are already in store!

Michael & I!

How cute is he? I love his style!

Layered like a champ

I need these shoes! They are Sam Edelman.

Off to the fitting room-

…where this waited for me : )

Quick shot of my outfit before I change!

This is such a cute look! Love the pop of orange beading on the dress & the orange sandals are superb.

Peep the blue polka dot nail polish : ) Did it myself

Love this 1920s drop waist dress!

Love this linen pantsuit!! So chic. I need this.

I love the pop of color with this line green tee. It’ s originally meant to be tied in the back but, I tied it in my own special way!

Same fab jacket! I am in love with these black leather sandals!

This white and light grey trench is a MUST have for spring/summer

Casually chic

Muah!!

Will have picks up from the show on Monday!
